Maustetytöt gave context for the music video in an Instagram post, March 14, 2026:

As children, we had four “20 favorites” karaoke VHS tapes. We sang them through from start to finish, we weren’t allowed to rewind any of the songs. We didn’t always even know the melodies of the songs, but we could make them up, since we had the backgrounds and lyrics. Inspired by them, we made a traditional karaoke video like this, which can now be found on YouTube.
