I have complained
repeatedly about
how the Washington Post and other daily newspapers have become obsessed with
reducing the length of stories, as though their chief problem is that they
work too hard and contain too much information. But I have never made this
case as persuasively as one of the Post's own writers, Hank Stuever, did in
a recent email to staff. Entertaining read.
