It's nice when the Chronicle follows my stories, but much cooler when the Wall Street Journal does it.

My April 29 SF Business Times story on urban grocery quoted developer Rob Bond, retailer Whole Foods, and referenced a new urban Safeway. The Wall Street Journal's May 11 story on urban grocery quoted developer Rob Bond, retailer Whole Foods, and referenced that same Safeway.

Granted, the WSJ story builds a national, rather than strictly local, case. It also spends a little more time on how grocery benefits residential sales and rentals, something I talked about with Rob Bond and even got some stats from him on, but only used briefly at the very end.
